This Iron Oxide Colombian Quartz Point Cluster is a natural quartz mineral specimen from Colombia, featuring multiple quartz points naturally coated with iron oxide. The iron oxide gives the crystals their distinctive golden to yellow-orange appearance, creating a look that can resemble citrine while remaining natural quartz with iron oxide mineralization. This individual specimen measures approximately 7" x 5" x 4.5" and weighs approximately 1390g (3.06 lb). Sold as one unique specimen.
With its warm golden coloring and dramatic cluster formation, this Colombian Quartz specimen is a beautiful example of how natural mineral processes can transform the appearance of quartz.
Rather than being citrine, the golden color comes from iron oxide naturally coating the quartz crystals within the deposit. Each point, coating, inclusion, and surface variation developed naturally, making this a one-of-a-kind mineral specimen.
