This Amethyst rune set includes the 24 runes of the Elder Futhark plus a blank rune, each hand-engraved and painted in gold by Cast a Stone in Abington, Massachusetts. The stones range from soft lavender to deep violet, with a smooth tumbled finish.
Amethyst is the purple variety of quartz and the traditional birthstone for February. In crystal tradition, it is associated with calm, intuition and spiritual protection, which makes it a steadying choice for meditation, dreamwork and reflective readings.
This is a one-of-a-kind set, and the photos show the exact stones you will receive. It is finished and ready to ship.
Runes included: Fehu, Uruz, Thurisaz, Ansuz, Raidho, Kenaz, Gebo, Wunjo, Hagalaz, Nauthiz, Isa, Jera, Eihwaz, Perthro, Algiz, Sowilo, Tiwaz, Berkano, Ehwaz, Mannaz, Laguz, Ingwaz, Dagaz, Othala, and one blank rune.
Draw a single rune each morning as a focus for the day, pull three for a past–present–future reading, or cast the full set onto a cloth and read the runes that land face up. Keep them in the included pouch between readings.
A symbol that is only painted or etched onto the surface of a stone wears away with use. We engrave each rune into the stone first, creating a deep groove that holds the paint or leafing, so the symbols stay crisp through years of casting and handling. Carving protects your magickal tools and sets each symbol into the crystal itself.
Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store in the pouch. Avoid harsh cleaners, which can dull the paint.
Is this the exact set I will receive?
Yes. This listing is for the one set shown in the photos.
Do I need experience to use runes?
No. The included card gives the meaning of each rune, and many people begin by drawing one rune a day.
Are the symbols carved or printed?
Carved. Each symbol is engraved into the stone and then hand-painted, so it will not rub off.
Is this a good gift?
Yes. Every set comes in its own velveteen pouch with a rune card, ready to give.
