Kunzite History and Uses:
In 1902 G.F. Kunz the chief gemologist at Tiffany & Co was the first to describe this crystal and so it was named after him. Kunzite is a comforting stone, traditionally it has been used to soothe heartache, support young women entering puberty and first-time or single mothers.

Kunzite Geological Description:

Kunzite is pink–to–violet form of Spodumene, a lithium aluminum silicate with a hardness of 6 to 7. Its crystal system is monoclinic and it forms prismatic crystals with vertical striations. Kunzite is found in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Brazil, Madagascar, and California, and Maine in the USA.
