This regal octopus-limbed mermaid girl statue is a must-have addition for any fantasy art collection, and makes a fantastic gift for a cosplay fanatic! The cecaelia is, in modern Internet parlance, a common term for a mermaid that has octopus limbs rather than a fish tail. Another frequently used name is "octomaid." A famous example of an octopus-limbed mermaid is Disney's sea witch Ursula. That intriguing name, both singular and plural, is pronounced seh-SAY-lee-uh.
This statue is cast in Polystone which is composed of polyurethane, resin, and mixed with powdered stone additives that give it added weight and a porcelain or "stone-like" feel. Polystone is very durable and delivers a cleaner, more substantial representation of an original sculpture than other common materials. Polystone is used because it has an incredible ability to capture the most minute detail, making it unsurpassed in collectible manufacturing materials.
